Widening the Welcome
If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Philippians 2:1-4
Greetings Grace Leader!
I am writing to encourage you, as part of the Grace family, to prayerfully consider how you can help create a warm, accepting environment at Grace on Sunday mornings by "considering others more important that yourselves."
Here are a couple of ideas/reminders to get you thinking:
1. Park off-site. There is ample parking on the streets, at the Grace Counseling Center, and Family Foods. All areas are watch by our Parking Lot Greeter team during services. Staff is required to park off-site.
2. Arrive early! Can you imagine inviting a guest to your home and you aren't even there?
3. Consider everyone you come in contact with a potential friend.
Jesus has called us to shine our light brightly. Let's light up this corner on Sunday mornings as we lead a mosaic of people seeking life-change into a growing relationship with Jesus.
Because you matter to God,
Paula Smith
